In the misty jungle
The shaman drums.
Softly. Softer.
Almost a whisper.
The priestess dances.
Swaying with the leaves
In the calming breeze
Until the end of the world.
The young prince plays
The ancient panpipes
Gently to the tune.
Like a rushing waterfall.
After the rain leaves
Her friend magically appears.
He is the rainbow,
But subtly he goes.
He comes only for a moment
Then shyly slips away.
Never to be seen
Until another rainy day.
Drip, drip, drip.
Goes the soft rain.
She falls from the heavens,
Washing away our pain.
She falls on the leaves
And gently sits there.
Rests on the strands
Of a little girl's hair.
But she isn't all peaceful
She has a dark side too.
She can cause massive floods.
She can be moody like you.
We try to seek shelter
In our comfortable homes.
The rain tries to find us,
But she's outside, alone.
One million suns
Shimmering in the dark.
One by one
They sparkle at night.
Nothing else matters
To these little stars.
The whole world is empty
Deep in their sleep.
When the moon comes
And the sun fades away.
The world will sleep
In time for a new day.
When the clouds burst open
And the rain crashes down.
The old king stood up
And threw down his crown.
The grass swayed gently
In the breeze of the wind.
The waves splashed softly
At the feet of the queen.
When the prince smiled
His very last smile.
The princess told him
To stay a little while.
The enemy rushed
At the crumbling tower.
Arrows fell down
Like a meteor shower.
When the moon comes
And the sun fades away.
The world will sleep
In time for a new day.
When the clouds burst open
And the rain crashes down.
The old king stood up
And threw down his crown.
